Adult Program
Why We Developed Our Program
In today’s demanding world, access to quality mental health and substance use disorder treatment has never been more critical. According to the 2023 National Survey on Drug Use and Health, approximately 48.5 million Americans aged 12 and older, about 16.7% of the population, struggle with substance use disorders. Yet many adults face significant barriers to accessing traditional in-person treatment, from work commitments and childcare responsibilities to transportation challenges and geographic limitations.
Virtual intensive outpatient programming (vIOP) is a powerful solution to these obstacles, offering comprehensive clinical care without requiring clients to leave their homes. Our innovative approach delivers the same structured treatment as traditional IOPs through our secure, HIPAA compliant video platforms that ensure both accessibility and privacy.
Our virtual format empowers clients to maintain their daily responsibilities while receiving intensive treatment. Family members can participate in sessions more easily, strengthening support systems that are crucial for long term recovery. Our clinical team provides real time support, crisis intervention, and outside resource navigation, ensuring that distance never compromises the quality of care.
At Soulful Recovery, we understand that healing requires more than just convenience; it demands expert clinical support and genuine connection. Research demonstrates that intensive outpatient programs serve up to 12% of patients receiving specialty addiction treatment, highlighting our essential role in the continuum of care. Our virtual IOP provides adults with evidence-based therapeutic interventions led by clinicians who specialize in treating substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. We believe that everyone deserves access to compassionate, evidence-based treatment. Our program breaks down barriers and brings professional clinical support directly to those who need it most, fostering sustainable recovery in an environment where clients feel safe, supported, and empowered to heal.
What Our Program Offers
When clients join our adult program, they are eligible to enter our Intensive Outpatient (IOP) and Outpatient Program (OP). Clients are required to join our IOP prior to starting our OP services. Each of these levels of care offer robust services to maximize the resources available to our clients. These services include:
Group Therapy
Group therapy is crucial for addiction treatment, providing peer support and reducing isolation. Participants learn from others’ experiences, develop accountability, and practice interpersonal skills in a safe environment. Sharing our struggle creates powerful connections that reinforce recovery. Group settings also offer participants to foster hope through witnessing others’ progress and sustained sobriety.
Individual Therapy
Case Management
Our case managers function as both a recovery coach and resource navigator. A recovery coach provides practical, day to day support and accountability as you navigate early sobriety and life transitions. They offer non clinical guidance based on personal recovery experience, helping you set goals, develop healthy routines, and connect with community resources. Unlike therapists who focus on underlying issues, coaches emphasize forward momentum and actionable steps to build a fulfilling life in recovery. As a resource navigator, they will help our clients find additional resources such as doctors, provide resume support, practice life skills and more. Case managers will interface with external resources such as referrents, legal resources, and family members.
Drug Testing
Our program requires clients to participate in weekly drug screens. Urinary drug screens are essential for objectively monitoring and detecting undisclosed substance use in addiction treatment, as clinical examination and patient self-reporting often underestimate the actual incidence of substance use. These tests allow us to support our clients recovery by providing accountability and enabling us to make informed clinical decisions based on accurate information about a patient’s substance use patterns. We not only include substance use testing but also specimen validity and bio-marker testing. This process ensures that the person providing the sample is the right person and the sample provided is not tampered with.
CRAFT Family Programming
CRAFT (Community Reinforcement and Family Training) empowers families to support their loved one’s recovery through positive communication and behavioral strategies rather than confrontation. This evidence-based approach reduces family stress, improves relationships, and increases treatment engagement. We utilize CRAFT to help teach families to reinforce sober behavior, set healthy boundaries, and practice self-care, creating a supportive home environment that enhances long-term recovery outcomes for everyone involved.
Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

Outpatient Program (OP)
